5. PB & J
Milled Flaxseed naturally absorbs liquid that surrounds it. Add 3-5 Tbsp of milled flaxseed to your favorite jar of natural peanut butter. It will help to absorb the natural peanut oil that rises to the top and prevent the need to stir. Get the complete instructions for Flaxseed Peanut Butter here.
Or use milled flaxseed to make homemade jam. The flax will naturally absorb some of the fruit juices to thicken the jam. Simply combine mashed fruit, flaxseed, and a dash of maple syrup or honey.
Homemade smoothies are a refreshing way to sneak in extra fruits and veggies throughout the day. Throw it in a cup with a lid and bring it on the go. Milled flaxseed adds a simple boost of nutrition. Get the recipe for this Orange Creamsicle Smoothie here.
