Eggless Flaxseed Burgers

Welcome to the season of backyard barbecues and family dinners after sports games. You’ll always have a need for quick and easy dinners. This spring and summer, pack your burgers full of extra fiber, protein, and vitamins. Might we suggest adding in our whole-milled flaxseed to make an eggless flaxseed burger!

Whether you prefer your patties plain or spruced up, this recipe will serve as the perfect base to your favorite burger combination!

We used ground sirloin for our burgers, but you may need to use more flaxseed depending on your cut of meat. If you find the meat has a difficult time sticking together, you can add additional flaxseed. This will act like breadcrumbs that will hold the meat together and lock in the additional moisture from the flax beverage

This is a base recipe that you can use to let your imagination run wild. You can add in Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, extra spices, chopped onions, or fresh herbs to add extra flavor to your burgers.

Consider infusing the flavors of your favorite cuisines into your burgers as well. For example, add dill to your burgers and top with tzatziki sauce! Or, you can add barbecue sauce to your burger and top with cheese and onion straws. Serve these burgers with or without a bun! You can also serve them in pita pockets, crumbled into your favorite pasta, or covered with ketchup like a personal-sized meatloaf.

You don’t have to limit yourself to just beef either! Try out this ratio with ground turkey or ground chicken. Roll the mixture into meatballs and bake in the oven, or grill into a quick turkey burger. With some whole-milled flaxseed on hand, you’re always just minutes away from your next dinner!
