Easy Smooth Whole-Milled Flaxseed Cereal

Breakfast, Snacks

Smooth whole-milled flaxseed makes a great addition to breakfast for the added nutrition benefits. Made with whole grains, nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, this flaxseed cereal is a satisfying and delicious heart-healthy, sugar-free breakfast.

Our flaxseed cereal recipe is muesli style. Muesli is a traditional European breakfast. Just like this flaxseed muesli recipe, traditional mueslis consist of a mixture of oats, nuts, seeds, and fruits.

Muesli is traditionally served cold but you can also serve it warm like oatmeal.

muesli vs granola

You may be thinking, muesli sounds an awful like granola – but there is a distinct difference. Granola is baked, often with oils and sweeteners to yield a crunchy texture and sweeter taste. Muesli, is a no-bake cereal. It is softer in texture than granola and is prepared and served raw.
